COVID-19 Update

A message from Ironfish Real Estate in response to COVID-19

20-Mar-2020

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those that have been impacted by these unprecedented circumstances and we wholeheartedly appreciate our government leaders and healthcare providers who are working tirelessly to keep us healthy and safe.

Whilst we understand your concerns, please rest assured that Ironfish Real Estate are closely monitoring the rapidly evolving COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak and are actively following all guidelines issued by the Australian Government, the Victorian Government, local health authorities and the World Health Organisation.

We would like to reassure you that we are taking the necessary precautions in order to protect the health, safety and well-being of our team, our clients and the greater community during these uncertain times.

What steps are we taking?

While our offices will remain open until further notice, there are several proactive measures we are have implemented to minimise the risk of transmission:

  • Encouraging all team members that feel unwell to remain home and not report to work. If a team member is at risk of infection, we urge them to seek immediate medical attention and obtain clearance before returning to the office.
  • Requesting all clients to declare whether they have been overseas within the last 14 days.
  • Respectfully requesting all clients who exhibit COVID-19 symptoms to leave the premises and seek immediate medical attention.
  • Registering all visitors’ details for tracking and health check purposes.
  • Postponing all routine inspections and reducing the frequency of open inspections.
  • Encouraging our team members to undertake phone, video or online meetings rather than face-to-face contact with clients.
  • Encouraging our team members to work from home if and when they can, to allow for social distancing.
  • Educating team members about the virus and advising them on how best to interact with clients.

We have also implemented additional measures to maintain a safe and sanitary environment:

  • Making hand sanitisers readily available for all team members, clients and visitors to use.
  • Increasing the regularity of thorough cleaning and sanitising all common and high traffic areas.
  • Providing disposable masks and gloves for all team members should they require them.
  • Increasing signage and awareness of the importance of hygiene.

Fortunately, we are a cloud-based company and have the tools and technology to manage your property needs as effectively and efficiently as possible, even remotely if need be. Ultimately, we want to continue to deliver the high standard of service we are known for with minimal disruption.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience these arrangements may cause, however given the situation we're all facing, we believe that this is the appropriate course of action to protect our employees and clients from further spreading COVID-19.

Ironfish Real Estate remain committed to supporting all employees and clients and will continue to act with your best interests in mind.
