27-Apr-2020

After careful consideration, the Victorian Government has stated it will postpone the commencement date of rental law reforms to 1 January 2021.

The Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) President, Leah Calnan, has welcomed this decision.

“The State Governments decision to delay the introduction of rental law changes is a huge relief to everybody in the Victorian Real estate sector and allows us to focus our full attention on dealing with Covid-19.” Ms Calnan said.

In the meantime, our renters and residential rental providers (RRPs) can rest assured that our Property Management team continues to receive ongoing training in response to the proposed changes. All properties are effectively managed in collaboration with new and existing processes in mind, allowing us to better serve our clients and keep them updated as changes arise.
